Girls Have Better Outcomes When Parents Play Videos Games with Them
The Journal of Adolecent Health reports that co-playing, playing video games with an adolecent boy or girl, has a positive affect on a girl’s internalization (depression/anxiety), aggressive behavior, and family connectiveness; yet, has no significant affect on boys. Read “Game On… Girls: Associations Between Co-playing Video Games and Adolescent Behavioral and Family Outcomes” in the Journal of Adolecent Health. If you don’t like statistics and methods, read the introduction and then, the discussion at the end. The middle part is for researchers.
